Dr. William E. Straw is the team physician for the San Jose Sharks and has been on the medical staff of the San Francisco Giants. He is a family practitioner at the Los Altos Center of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation in Los Altos, California.

An expert on topics of sports medicine, Dr. Straw has appeared on Fox News, NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw, and multiple sports talk shows to discuss issues including anabolic steroids, creatine, HIV, and heat-related injuries. In addition, his articles have appeared in USA Today and U.S. News and World Report.
